| Ohlone/Costanoan Esselen Nation Annual Tribal Gathering/Campout August 13, 14 and 15, 2010 We will be hosting the Gathering/Campout at McAlpine Lake and Park again this year. We have contacted many parks in Monterey County and none will accept a large group plus only allow 1 day events. Private RV parks want full price plus only allow 4 to 6 per site. Hosting a weekend event allows more time for our families that travel to join us. Mr. McAlpine and his family have worked with us to make sure we are able to have all the activities without noise or time limits since it is a private park. The Council and I would rather this event be held on our ancestral land but we want to also make this affordable for our families. We hope you all understand. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. More information soon. The Council is working on a flier and will post it on this website soon. Please make arrangements with us and not directly with McAlpine Lake and Park. Nimasianexelpasaleki - The OCEN Tribal Council |
